Hello All,
I have couple of questions regarding Travel Document or Advance Parole.
My EAD has already been filed by my Lawyer but she is charging too much for filing Advance Parole or Travel Document,so here goes my questions.
- Is there a way to file for Travel Document myself, without involving the lawyer and if yes how can i do that
- Do I need to wait for my EAD Receipt being sent to me before filing for Travel Document.

The US Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) has issued new guidance (http://www.uscis.gov/files/nativedocuments/health_care_occupations_20may09.pdf)on the standards for adjudicating H-1B petitions filed on behalf of beneficiaries seeking employment in a health-care specialty occupation.
The memo suggests that adjudicators should first consult the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH) to determine whether the position qualifies as a H-1B "specialty occupation" as defined in the Immigration and Nationality Act.
The memo addresses licensing requirements for health-care workers in detail, and the effect of having a license - or not having a license - on approval of a case. If the foreign national has the required license, the adjudicator should not "look beyond the license." If the foreign national has a restricted license (e.g., license approved except for mandatory supervised practice), and the petition is otherwise approvable, an adjudicator should approve the petition for one year, or the duration of the restricted license, whichever is longer.
If the employee does not have the license because s/he needs certain immigration documents before getting a license, CIS can approved the petition for one year. The memo says that "The approval of any such H-1B petition shall not constitute approval by USCIS for the alien beneficiary to engage in any activity requiring possession of such State or local license. It is merely a means to facilitate the state or local licensing authoritys issuance of such a license to the alien, provided all other requirements are satisfied." If you ask them to expedite then you are talking to a wall..which means that is next to impossible. I requested them to expedite my EAD renewal twice and they refused to do so (email reply). My case is 78 days old now and the current EAD is expiring in a month from now.

Hey here is a situation:
I have over 7 years of experience in IT
Come with a 4 year bachelor and 2 year masters from India from a non-computers background.
Have a diploma (1 year in computers)
few other computer certificate courses.
I work for Fortune's Best software company as sr. software qa engineer. My company wants to go ahead filing for my GC.
My company attorney says am not eligbile for EB2 based on the above but eligible for EB3. I am confused because I already have an EB2 being filed for future employment from a small company.
So I kind of guessing my company attorney's want to play safe to be on EB3 rather than EB2.
So what do u guys think that my company attorney is correct.
My understanding is that with the above qualifications, I am eligible for EB2.
Am I wrong????

Dude. Your "Bloody Eyes", "Ozzfest 2005", and "John 5" rock.
Who are those guys, bloody eyes, and the guy with glasses in the Ozzfest 05 photo? I guess I don't know who John 5 is either, looks like he'd play for MM. ...guess other than Sabb and Maiden, arenarock aint my thing.
...saw your ?? about PPlanet, I'll let ya know if they correct it next month.
Thanks man!
John5 was playing guitar for Rob Zombie in that photo taken at Ozzfest.
He has played guitar for a lot of people. He's mostly a solo guitarist. He's pretty decent.
He's also played in and/or on the following people's CDs: Leah Andreone,David Lee Roth,Two,Ryan Downe,Marilyn Manson to name a few.
Bloody eyes photo is Chad Gray is the singer for the band "MUDVAYNE" (not my thing at all, Nu-metal stuff, but kind of fun to photo)
The guy in the glasses, his name Trevor Strnad he's in a band called "THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER" (really heavy, hardcore meets metal type stuff).
I'm into a little bit of every kind of music. VERY open mind when it comes to music.
But my favorite stuff is mostly 80's rock and pop punk type stuff.
Guns N' Roses,Motley Crue,(old) Nofx,(old) Misfits,Black Sabbath is some of my favorite all time stuff.
