Answer: Generally, CAs are not considered to be master"s degree holders. In fact, many of them do not even equate to a bachelor"s degree since, in India, the bachelor"s is only a 3-year program instead of a 4-year program. Also, the CAs do not attend proper coursework like with degrees here, so it can be a problem if one has no other education besides the BA or BCom with the CA license. Sep-12-2005.

My qualification: Diploma in electronics and communication Engg in India
(3 years diploma after 10th)
Years of experience: Since 1991 in IT (About 20 YRs)
Green card process: EB3 Approved labor and 140.
Situation: When I contacted one of the university in USA they informed me that I can
do the Masters instead of BS online degree.
My question1: Will I be eligible to file my EB2 if I do Masters without doing BS?

Infopass IIO's are not the best in terms of reliability of their statements ...or actually opinions !
Most of them refer not the Feb 08 memo (180 day +) but the one that has given the timeline for Name Check backlog elimination !

I have a question regarding where to file my EAD renewal application. I am a July filer NJ resident and my I-485/EAD/AP were sent to Nebraska and got the AP/EAD approved through Nebraska going by my LIN no. As per the (C)(9) rules it says NJ residents should file to Texas service center and somewhere else I read that my EAD renewal application should be sent to the location where my I-485 is getting processed.
Please share your experiences.

I have 2 Approved I140's.
EB3-I PD oct 10, 2003 - Approved - TSC
EB2-I PD July 6th 2006 - Approved - NSC
I filed my 485 on july 2nd 2007 - TSC
RD July 2 2007
ND Aug 16th 2007.
My 485 is based on the EB3 I140, My lawyer sent a Letter to TSC on June 19 2008 request to interfile/PD recapture, I saw soft LUD on my 485/140/131/765 on june 23 2008 since then we have not recievd any +ve information about it. Now with the release of Sep 08 bulletin, My EB2 date is current by itself without without any interfiling/PD porting.
I have called USCIS couple of times and every time i got the same old reply from them, "The IO will pick up the most favourable PD for your case." The sad thing is that the IO's are not touching the case. What are the options i have, Do you think they will pick up my 485 based on the Eb2 - 140 automatically since it has become current, Or it will still have to go thru the interfiling/PD Porting/PD recapture/140 amendment..../WHATEVER.

I am one of the July 2 filers. I need to go to India on 1st November. I was hoping that AP will come by that time. But there has been no progress on that. Just spoke to my Attorney. She said that USCIS does not have any facility to issue AP for an emergency.
Then I called USCIS. I was told the same thing. The Customer Service representative said - I should go wherever I need to go. On arrival contact the local US Embassy and tell them that you need AP to travel back. They will "guide you".
On this forum I have read about INFOPASS many times. I was hoping to use that facility if I did not get AP in time. I am trying to find out if anybody actually used INFOPASS to meet a local Immigration Officer and got AP on an emergency basis.
No theoretical guesses please.

Sweet_jungle, I am in a similar situation. My attorney sent a request to TSC 3 months back to fix the PD but no response yet. What did you do to open the obmudsman inquiry? Did you send him an email or did you send him a letter in the email
Ombudsman responded saying that my PD is the older PD. Looks like the earlier response was an error.
NSC AILA liason has also confirmed it.

Eight (years) refers to the number of years designated to clear the backlog of pending applications for permanent residency documents, or "green cards," from persons abroad or living here with a legal work visa. ... the application backlog would be confined to people who applied before May 2005, when major immigration legislation was introduced in the Senate in the last Congress

Does this mean even after CIR + SKIL passes and gets enacted, causing PDs to move forward significantly or become current in some categories and allowing us to file 485 & EAD... we have to wait 8 more years in preadjucation/ FBI name check delays/ Service Center Application backlogs (current NSC backlogged to Sept 06 for EB based 485)?
I am really freaked out. Can someone please shed some light on this.

That explains it.If your company is blacklisted you are in a deep hole and should have a backup plan for employment. You should consult more good lawyers.
